Italy cartographic viewer

 

Cartography used:

  • Basic cartography DeAgostini. The DeAgostini basic cartography provides an overall view of the Italian territory with sufficient and adequate information detail, reporting over 8000 inhabited centers and 4000 geographic elements. Resolution 1: 250.000. This raster cartography, produced by the DeAgostini Geographical Institute of Novara, consists of 23 squares, supplied in TIFF format at 288 dpi of resolution in RGB and geo-referenced in ED50. The original TIFFs were reprojected into WGS84.
  • IGM basic cartography. WGS84-UTM32: Aosta Valley, Piedmont, Liguria, Trentino Alto Adige, Veneto, Emilia Romagna, Tuscany, Sardinia. WGS84-UTM33: Friuli Venezia Giulia, Marche, Umbria, Lazio, Abruzzo, Campania, Molise, Puglia, Basilicata, Calabria, Sicily.
    • Basic cartography IGM 250.000. Chorographic map of Italy at scale 1: 250.000. Resolution 1: 250.000. The service can only be viewed on scales greater than 1: 300,000.
    • Basic cartography IGM 100.000. Topographic map of Italy at 1: 100,000 scale. Resolution 1: 100,000. The service can only be viewed on scales greater than 1: 300,000.
    • Basic cartography IGM 25.000. Topographic map of Italy at scale 1: 25.000. Resolution 1: 25.000. The service can only be viewed on scales greater than 1: 100,000.
       
  • Digital orthophotos:
    • Color orthophoto year 2012, with pixels of 50 centimeters, acquired by the Agency for the Withdrawals in Agriculture through the use of a digital camera. Resolution 1: 10,000. The service can only be viewed on scales greater than 1: 100,000.
    • Color orthophoto year 2008 with relevant flight dates of Lazio and Umbria regions with the actual size polygons showing information on the date of the aerial shot. Resolution 1: 10,000. The service can only be viewed on scales greater than 1: 100,000.
    • Digital color orthophotos of 2006 of the Italian territory with the actual size polygons showing information on the date of the aerial shot. Resolution 1: 10,000. The service can only be viewed on scales greater than 1: 100,000.
    • Color digital orthophotos of the year 2000 of the Italian territory with the actual size polygons showing information on the date of the aerial shot. Resolution 1: 10,000. The service can only be viewed on scales greater than 1: 100,000.
    • Black and white orthophoto of the national territory acquired in the period between 1994 and 1998 with the actual size polygons showing information on the date of the aerial shot. Resolution 1: 10,000. The service can only be viewed on scales greater than 1: 100,000.
    • Black and white orthophoto from 1988 to 1989 of the Italian territory with the actual size polygons showing information on the date of the aerial shot. Resolution 1: 10,000. The service can only be viewed on scales greater than 1: 100,000.
  • MDT 20 meters. The DTM (Digital Terrain Model), with national coverage, derives from the interpolation of the orographic data coming from the cartography of the Military Geographical Institute. The resulting product is a 20 m regular-pitch matrix, whose elements (pixels) show the values ​​of the dimensions. The national territory is divided into 10Km x 10Km units. The heights are expressed in meters in the reference system m.s.l. (Genoa tide gauge). Resolution 20 meters.
  • Geological map of Italy at scale 1: 500.000. The legend has been reconstructed starting from the paper version. Resolution 1: 500,000.
